Montreal OFF Jazz: Record launch at Lion D'Or with Split Cycle!

 

Founded in 2008 by Samuel Blais, this collective featuring Montreal and New York jazz heavyweights has just recruited a new partner, the drummer Robbie Kuster. Modernism and epic improvisations are the order of the day in this musical grand slam.

OFF JAZZ Festival with Fred Pauze Quintet at Dièse Onze!

 

A bassist with a deadly swing, Fred Pauze will be premiering the original compositions of his quintet at the OFF JAZZ festival. Immediately afterwards, he will hole up in the studio, where he will record his first album as a bandleader.

Free (voluntary contribution), this show will be presented at Dièse Onze (4115-A St-Denis, Montreal)

Stanley Péan and the 5th anniversary of Révélations jazz!

 

 

Presented by Stanley Péan, the Radio-Canada jazz "Révélations" from the past five years of the radio program will unite to play pieces from their respective repertoires together, as well as some of the grand standards of the genre. All combinations are possible between pianists Chantale Gagné and Rafael Zaldivar, double bassist Brandi Disterheft, saxophonist Samuel Blais and trumpeter Jacques Kuba Séguin! This remarkable event, celebrating the 5th anniversary of Révélations Radio-Canada jazz, is produced and will be recorded by Espace musique.
