Happy New Year to all!
Here are a few projects to look out for in 2016
The "Jazz Session" at the Albion Brewery in Joliette is back starting on Wednesday January 27th.
The collective project "Split Cycle" will be touring Canada and recording our second CD in March 2016!
Mixing and mastering of the sax quartet project featuring David Liebman, David Binney et Donny McCaslin should be out in the fall 2016!
The Auguste Quartet will be touring Europe and Asia, featuring Michel Lambert and Alain Bedard.
And finally I will be be recording some new music at the end of 2016 with my band, stay tuned!

It had been a while since I gave you some fresh news! Here it is, I will try to inform you on a more regular basis in the next months.
Lots of projects on the horizon! I had the great pleasure to record with David Liebman, Donny McCaslin and David Binney for our new saxophone quartet record in the summer of 2015. We recorded about 2 or 3 originals of each member and we are now in the process of mixing and editing,
stay tuned for more details soon!
I've also had the chance to perform at the Lincoln Center in New York in the great Dizzy's Club this past October. The group featured musicians from Montrea:l Francois Bourassa, Michel Lambert and Alain Bedard as well as special guest Donny McCaslin. It was my third visit to New York this year and it's always a great pleasure to go back to the city.
As far a teaching goes, I started my third year at Cegep de Joliette as the classical and jazz saxophone teacher which also means that the famous "Jazz Session" is also back at Albion Brewery. You can check for specific dates on my calendar page.

Record launch tour of "Cycling" featuring David Liebman September 19th, 20th and 21st!

I have the immense pleasure to announce the release of my new album on Effendi Records, "Cycling", a collaboration with the great David Liebman! We will be touring for 3 days around Canada performing at The Rex in Toronto on September 19th, Diese Onze in Montreal on September 20th and at Le Cercle in Quebec City on September 21st. The record will be in stores later in the fall and will be distributed by Naxos. The only way to get it before everyone else will be to come to our gigs in September, I will have some copies with me. I hope to see you at one of our gigs and can't wait to share the stage again with such a legend!

I'm finally back from New York City! It was a great trip filled with intense music and new friends! During my 2 week trip, I had the chance to play in some great venues in New York and Boston(The Iridium, 55 Bar, The Beehive, etc.) and performed with Nate Smith, Tommy Crane, Aki Ishiguro, Nicolas Letman-Burtinovic, Jeff Hirshfield, Jamie Baum, Nick Anderson, Roy Assaf and Aryeh Kobrinsky. It's always a great pleasure and an honor to be performing with such great players in the big apple!
I also had a meeting with the great Fred Lebayle, fantastic mouthpiece maker, who designed for me a custom handmade wood mouthpiece! I have been playing exclusively on Lebayle mouthpieces for the last 10 years so it is a great honor to now be sponsored by such a passionate and devoted artist. I guess I'll keep playing on your mouthpieces for another 10 years...Thanks Fred ;-)
